Most agricultural pests and plant pathogens do not appear from nowhere. They come from soil, from outdoor insects, from open-air exposure. A peer-reviewed comparative study published in Food Chemistry found that leafy greens grown aeroponically had higher total phenols, higher flavonoid content, and higher antioxidant levels than their soil-grown counterparts. Red kale showed comparable or superior nutritional density. Basil, parsley, and chard followed the same pattern.
